Whining. Whining. Whining.
It is as if the skin is being peeled from my ears.
The words of the illustrious Tabitha L. ring in my ears, "If anything, be consistent."
Does hiding in the corner of the bathroom, rocking and weeping at 4 pm everyday count? Oh, cuz I am CONSISTENT.

Who we talking about here? Levi?
Me too girl!! Seriously.
And if ANYONE makes the 2 yr. old scream again today...they will suffer severe consequences. I mean it!
(Zac has seriously ear piercing screams of "mine" "stop" and "no") ugh...esp in the car.
So, not Levi, huh?
Seriously, three doors down on our block is a woman who has had a 2 or 3 year old for the last ten years. In the summertime, when the windows are open, that alteration of whine and scream is like an introductory class to hell. She also seems to be a cat farmer, as there are also hordes of cats that start out small and grow to adults while constantly orbiting her porch.
Sorry, off-topic.
The window thing is funny. My windows are open b.c it's sooo nice here right lately...and I'm sure my neighbors think that I beat my children all day b.c of the constant screaming and crying or whining. And then when I finally lose my cool...yeah they probably hear it until I realize the windows are open and shut up! Anyone have this issue? he..he...
We knew exactly what was going on all the time with our previous next-door neighbors. The house is about 15 ft away and in the summer time the bipolar girl would wind up and let her mom have it. The husband and wife would occasionally disagree at about 200 decibels. Oddly, they were nice folks and we liked them.
During these moments I often think if I was that annoying to my parents at that age.
Is this payback?
Lori
It must be. I know I contributed to the sounds of six voices whining. "Can we have a can-deeeeeee pleeeeeeease? How about a pony? Why not? Awwwwwwwwwww mom!"
UR - I truly believe that the cats function as a buffer. I'm sure as they moved like circles around a planet there was a cosmic emotional buffer. If only it worked with the sound...
Yes, we opened the windows for the first time yesterday. Now the world knows - that Afton is 3. How can one child be so adorable and so hellacious within 3 minutes? Help me, Jesus!!!
Oh, Tabitha! I miss that woman. I'm telling you, I learned more about parenting from watching her than from just about anything or anyone else in my entire life. She was a miracle!
I have started the old-school, "What??? What ? Mom can't hear you when you talk in that voice."
No school like the old-school.
