Joan E Kimball

People that impact your forever. I was raised by amazing people. Yet in Jr High/High School self-definition outside of the fam was sooo important. I happened across one of the most stellar women I've ever met. She later became one of my mom's closer friends and even better - family!! ( My sis married her son)

Her best facets: She is a consummate student of life (always aware and learning), she looks you in the eyes-listens-and-makes you feel understood. She appreciates beauty and seems to draw it out of people and life - the best rises. She is humble and FUN and somehow - things are peaceful around her.

What a woman. ;)

Oh, my sweet Girl, I can only imagine what you are doing blogging at 5:30 in the morning ... JoaneK is like your favorite book that you keep reading over and over only to find that the author has added new little bits to the story each time! Stagnant she is not. Just when you think you have her style down it metamorphsizes(not sure this is a real word) into something different, but WAY cool. She just makes me feel like I am SO alright. I walk in her back door and I hit the "Kimball Spa" atmosphere - whatever was weighting me down just seems to float off into the stratosphere. What's not to love?

I generally read blogs and don't comment, but how could i resist talking about my wonderful mom!!! She is one of the best relationalists around--when you talk to her, she has no other goal than to get inside your world and understand what makes you tick. Sometimes she connects with my friends better than I do! She has always treated me like a mature man, even back when I clearly was not. She has loved the socks off of all four of us boys and is still loving strong. Caring, kind, crazy, everybody's favorite. I'm so thankful for her little quirks and random outbursts of weirdness--she makes life interesting. She's a great example of what I will look for in a wife.

Mikey - she sets a high bar. Probably help you weed out the weiners from the winner. You are a joy-breather just like she is.

mom in law has taught me so much just by being--she can make a dork feel like a king, so i study her. Its amazing to me to see her GENUINE interest in other people's worlds. I get bored with people not in mine at times... She's true that way. And people love her for it.
